Annual Servicing is vital to maintain gas safety and  prevent CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING, the gas appliances efficiency can be improved reducing fuel bills, any leaks or internal damage can be identified during the servicing procedure. The heat exchanger, injectors, case seal and filters are cleaned  then inspected for damage. Electrodes are set, the multifunctional control is tested. Flow tests and spillage tests are carried out, the burner pressure is tested and a flue gas analysis is taken where applicable. The gas appliance manufactures warranty will be void if annual maintenance is ignored.

Beware of the wording used by some companies, an annual maintenance / safety check is not a full service. This can be confusing to customers as an engineer will take a flue gas analysis and if the reading is found to be ok the engineer will have completed the check. Within 15 minutes the safety check is complete the gas appliance is as dirty inside as it was before the engineer arrived.
